Namaskaram Swamy
Adiyen is an ardent devotee of Swamy for the past ten years. Swamy’s EnPani discourses help us to know the principles of Sanathana Dharma and they provide a lot of mental strength to us.
Adiyen listened to EnPani 390 “Why Devas?” in which Swamy mentions that one cannot question why Bagavan creates so many Devatas because the question of Bagavan creating other species would also arise. I understand that Bagavan gives a punya jivathma the post of a Devata and also gives such a Devata the powers to bless us all. Azhwar also says “Naatinan Deivam Engum Nallathor Arulthannale”.
Lord Krishna also exhibits through His Vishwaroopam that it is He who resides as Antharyami in each and every being. The thirunamam ‘Vishnu’ also tells us the same thing. We should learn to see Bagavan in everything and in the same way visualise everything in Bagavan Himself.
Adiyen has been listening to Swamy’s discourses for a long time and I am more inclined to worshipping Sriman Narayana. My daughter has been undergoing a lot of health problems one after the other nearly for the past four years. I understand that materialistic suffering is a part of samsara and that one relinquishes karma by experiencing pain and pleasure but my friends and relatives suggest worshipping and doing parikarams towards other Devatas in order to get relief in this material world.
I also understand that Sriman Narayana alone can grant moksham (Sri Vikuntham).
In such a case,
- Can I worship other Devatas and ask for material benefits keeping in mind that Sriman Narayana resides within them as Antharyami and at the same time worship Sriman Narayana and plead for moksham?
(or)
Can I ask for both material benefits and moksham from Sriman Narayana Himself?
2. Why Sri Krishna stresses in Bagavad Gita to surrender only to Him (mam ekam saranam vraja)? It is He who creates and pervades within all Devatas and this being the fact why Sri Krishna wants us to surrender only to Him?
Please consider these questions and answer to them Swamy. Adiyen is very confused regarding this and I kindly request Swamy to clarify these doubts.
With respects and regards,
Venkhatesh,
